Clutch Replacement, what RMS brand?
I think I need a new clutch, last week I left work with my 99 996 and I felt the clutch pedal very light compared to that morning. There is a slight vibration after releasing the clutch so after some research on the internet, I found out it could be the clutch.
Does anyone know if there is a better RMS made for our cars? The car is currently not leaking any oil between the transmission and engine but I want to change it since the car is not getting any younger (68k miles). As for the IMS, I dont think I will change it since my car has the double row one and I really dont want to mess with it.
This is what I have so far
- Sachs clutch, pressure plate kit & release bearing (2708063)
- Flywheel bolts (99907309202) x8
- Pressure plate bolts (99907345801) x6
- OEM Transmission fluid (99991754600) x3
- Rear Main Seal (99710121201)

The upgraded 997 Rms is the right one to use, it looks like you have it, porsche upgraded it to sort the leak problem, only other thing you migh want to change is the release bearing guide tube, there is also a seal behind the guide tube but I left mine alone as the was no sign of any leak , you will need the porsche clutch alignment dowel also to align the pressure plate or you won't get the gearbox on its a precision fit to the gearbox shaft and flywheel !
