I recently bought a pair of hardback sport seats out of a 996 GT3 that was converted into a full blown track car, they had been in the car for under 1k miles and are in new condition. After we agreed on a price for the seats (local CL deal) the seller brought out the steering wheel removed from the same car also in as new shape, I bought it also.

My question; Is the 996 GT3 steering wheel any different than the standard 3 spoke wheel from a 996 or 986? The leather looks to have more of a matte finish to me and the wheel seems a touch "meatier", could just be me though. TIA......Mark.

No expert here but I believe the GT3 steering wheel is padded and should feel bulkier.

Thanks Guys. Since I have had a couple of other 3 spoke wheels which I eventually sold this one definitely feels thicker, my guess it is the $675 CPZ optioned wheel. Going to hold onto this one.

Now I just got to figure out if the 996 GT3 seats are heated or not lol.
