Default Great detailing at LUSTR

A few weeks ago I got a paint correction/polishing done to my 2001 C2 at LUSTR auto detail in Schaumburg, IL. Ivan and Roman were great to deal with and I highly recommend their services

Lookn' good! What'd it cost? Was the paint in decent condition before the correction?

Love the look of the BBS LM type wheels on your 996!
Just waiting for a good deal on a set for myself...
Your paint looks fantastic! I second the question... What did that run you?

I'm gonna guess over 1k if it involved more than 1 stage paint correction.

Ivan and Lustr is great. I hope you opted for some kind of paint coating since your car is parked outside all the time.

Thanks guys, paint was in decent shape. A ton of swirl marks and some oxidized spots. Being a Florida car, also some clear coat damage in a few areas. The passenger side mirror has peeling clearcoat but an easy fix for sure. This isn't a garage queen so I am not looking for concours.

I went with the paint enhancement detail and had them take care of some headlight oxidation too. Cost me $595 and was totally worth it! Obviously, I'm sure you can find some cheaper places but the quality of these guys is top notch. Communication also excellent.

And I was supposed to move to Nashville later this month but actually get to stay in Chicago so very happy about that. Since I park outdoors, I followed up with a Klasse Sealant/Collinite 845 combo which I applied myself.

Nice! Money well spent - especially for a car that lives outside year round. Good luck with it!

I still have 3/4 of Klasse SG and 845 around. The stuff lasts a long time if you apply it sparingly like you should.

Yes for sure! I did the same combo on my Dodge Challenger just last week and came out great. Soooooo many choices out there for waxes and sealants but the Klasse and Collinite do it for me. As most people fail to realize, while waxes and sealants do make the paint shine, polishing is really what makes paint pop. Wax/Sealant is there to PROTECT the paint. On a daily driver that sits outside, that's what is most important to me

Or for lazy folks like me that don't wanna be waxing their cars every couple few weeks.

I save my Zymol Atlantique wax for my Concours show cars.

Love Collinite 845, but I've been going to the ceramics a lot more often lately. not waxing a car for 2 years is a bonus when you need time to build your broken 996. ha!

Yes same here and the reason why I have so much Klasse/845 left over. Switched to CQuartz UK since I got even more lazier. I keep it topped up with Meg's D156 spray wax after car washes(wax as you dry).

Nice! I'm using Opti Gloss Coat and maintaining it with Optimum No rinse and wax (on my daily- can't wait for the time that all im worried about on my 996 is the shine the paint has)

I actually still have a half gallon of ONR(old version) as well. Don't use it as much anymore except for lubricant for claybar. Found Ultima Waterless Car Wash + to do a better job(at least it glides more smoothly and feels slicker than ONR). The new formulation of ONR and ONR + Wax is suppose to be more slicker from what I read though.
