HID Lighting Question
Hi all
Am looking to do an HID headlight retrofit for my 2004 MK2 996. Can anyone recommend a good quality kit that they have successfully used? There are so many dodgy ones floating around makes its hard to decide what to choose. I am leaning towards this one: http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DD...ast-35W-or-55W Looking at 35w, will I still need a relay? If so, do i need a single or dual relay? Thanks for any help in advance. |

theres dozens of kits like this, probibly similar quality, youll see most with capacitors in line now to do a instant on for the bulbs, which was a problem when they first came out. The ony hard part is cutting the headlite housing to get the wires in and finding good places to put the ballast

As for installation, mount the ballast in the stock location in the back of the headlight cap and drill small hole to route the wires using a grommet. |
While you're changing to HID, you should changing the parking light to LEDs to!

Thanks alpine for the fast info. Will go with DDM's ultra HID 35w kit @ 4500k and update with results.

Also check out http://www.theretrofitsource.com/. Their stuff seems to be higher quality (I've also had DDM in the past)
