Could we possibly see a repeat of the 996/Boxster exchange happening again?

Parts sharing across models , once implemented with the 996 , never stopped . It's just done under the skin .

I worry that now that VW is taking the head of Porsche away, we could see him replaced with someone that will prompt Porsche to give ludicrous allocations of desirable automobiles to certain dealers who wildly mark them up over MSRP, and charge obscene amounts for a variety of options that many other manufacturers include as standard, all because of a perceived irrational loyalty from Porsche enthusiasts, that is not returned in kind by the company. Oh, and charge obscene prices for replacement parts.
