Default golf clubs in 996

Normally, I take the easy way and drive my truck when golfing. But, this weekend I'll be in a very classy wedding in Tahoe, which includes golf on Friday. This is one of those times that the truck won't do, at least not with a beautiful 996 in the garage and a beautiful date by my side.

So I need to find a way to fit the golf clubs in the Porsche.

I tried it in the garage, by putting the golf bag diagonally in the rear, with one seat back up, and the other seat belt around the clubs and fastened. I also put towels around the each end of the bag. This seemed like it would work, but its a very tight fit, so I'm still nervous.

Does anyone have any experience, and/or better ideas???

Thanks.

Your golf bag must be HUGE if you can't fit it in on the passenger side. That's where I put mine.

I just recline the seat and strap the seat belt around it.

The long clubs come out of the bag. The bag should fit nicely behind the seats if the rear seat backs are folded down. Long clubs fit diagonally behind either front seat back. This operation is simple in the 996 cab.. a bit more work in the coupe. I often carry two carry bags this way.

dp35,
I put em in the back seat towel on each end, they fit fine....the key is take out your woods and put them in separately. I fit 2 bags in the back of my cab no problem...

I put my bag in the back of both my coupe and my cab with no problem. Don't even have to put the seats down or take out my driver.

By the way, if your going to play Squaw Creek, bring plenty of *****.

I mostly carry in the front since the bag was marring the sides a touch on hard corners (my favorites are on the way to the course). Have to suggest folding down both rear seats.

Handling the bag is far easier if you slide the front seat part way forward and tip it. Slide it up all the way and recline it flat if you need to get two bags back there, or any other really bulky load.

I agree. Two bags fit fine across the rear seats with both of them folded. To get them in, put the front passenger seat all the way forward and its fine.

Other option is to put the clubs in the passenger seat and put your date in the back. I think that would work too.
