Me too. Reminds me of when I was 17.

I don't understand why you guys have such trouble getting down the road without people bothering you.

No issues whatsoever with people wanting to race, revving, driving like idiots (more so than normal anyway) etc. in either 911.

There's probably a lot of ex ricer's here that won't admit it. I had a 2003 Evo, but don't even put this car in the civic class. Wife made me sell it, 345hp at the wheels, AMS Chicago.

In milwaukee we used to drag up at Park Place and the cops stayed away. Good times...long gone. But it's rare I get someone challenging me and if I do it's a GTR.

I got no problem admitting it. My fastest rice burner was a Suzuki GS1000. We used to set up a 1/4 mile drag strip on the highway just outside of town at about 2:00AM. Some very fast bikes always showed up like the KZ900, CBR1000, 1100 Yamaha, 750 Suzuki with 2 stroke engine. Yea, lots of good time - long gone but great memories.

I'd stay away from those GTR's, they are scary fast!

They are scary fast, but they are scary ugly too. They look like a robotic catfish on wheels.

I don't know if I was ever a "ricer" but I have owned many very fast RX7s. No stickers or led lights, just big turbos and and a lot of bloody knuckles.

Or it could be that we're all a bunch of conceited pompous fools and nobody driving by really gives a rip what we're driving... they're just busy focusing on their phones and not paying attention to their speeds as they speed up and slow down.

I was a ricer back in the day I drove a high 11 second Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. It was a 2g car big turbo big boost all custom intercooler etc... lots of stuff done to it fast as hell. That car was a lot of fun I learned a ton and have applied what I have learned to many other things now. I roll around on a turbo snowmobile at 260 hp that's a riot

Gotta agree with you there - too many people texting at stop lights! Makes me

Happens to me all the time. I just think about what my last DE instructor told me, "Any idiot can drive fast in a straight line. "

The Valkyrie was magnificent. I have a fragment of the aluminum honeycomb structure framed in my office, that someone dug out of the smoking hole it left in the Mohave Desert after Walker's chase F104 flipped into its vortices and sheared the stabilizers off. The other one, I think is at Wright-PatAFB in Ohio.
I've had the chance a few times to fly along the margin of Edwards AFB, and just gaze at it. A lot of aviation history happened on that flat dry patch of desert in the 50's and 60's.
Now, there walked some real men.

I was never a ricer growing up but we had 6 '71 and '72 Ford Pinto's we raced at Suffolk Speedway in Va. 1600cc engines that would turn 14.9's in the 1/4 all day long. I used to drive one on the street, idling it sounded like a POS but hit the gas and it was gone. I couldn't tell you how many V8s I embarrassed back in the day. And yes, all the gas tanks were protected for the rear end collision.

All your problems can be solved with new RSS engine mounts. Function first are great as well. They maybe faster but when you see the difference new engine mounts make you won't care!
