Default Rear Camera & phone cradle install

Since I already had an iPad mini in my dash, I decide to hook-up a wifi back-up camera. Works pretty well. Install was pretty straight forward. The most time consuming part was running switched power. I can switch the camera on anytime I like, even when not in reverse. Tap the app and bam the camera is hot.

After the iPad install I have lost the cubby space for my phone. I made a magnetic mount system that plugs into the lighter and can be moved without a trace by simply unplugging from the lighter. Had to put a larger piece of metal between my phone and case but it holds very well. Not sure it could withstand a 1g turn but does fine on the street.

There is no cradle per se it's a big magnet. That's the cool thing about it, slap you phone on it and your good to go. There is a picture of it w/o the phone in my original post. Put it in your arm rest or door pocket when not in use. I purchased it from Amazon.

Lol. It's a labor of love. You can tackle it with a dremel and a lot of patience and maybe a few of these

This would be great to hook into a track app to get front and backward video.

Wish I could figure out how to run two at a time (front / back) at the track. Would be very cool.

For the track Harry's Laptimer, switched to a new music player called LeechTunes which gives back the swipe functionality Apple took out of the stock music player, DashCommand for OBDII functionality, Pandora and Slacker for tunes, TomTom, Google Maps and Waze for navigation and WiFi AVIN for the camera.

Looking for a way when I launch the WIFI AVIN it will launch the WIFI and connect to the WIFI dongle automatically. When I close the app switch to LTE for music streaming and GPS. Anyone have a good app for this? Read about an app called Thor that should do this but haven't tried it yet.
