Default Show us your Seal Grey 996

I'm not sure of the appetite/tolerance for "Show me your fill-in-the-blank" threads here, but I was hoping to see what others have done with their Seal Grey 996's. I'll admit to being a little jealous of those of you with Guard's Red, Speed Yellow, or Cobalt Blue paint as they stand out in a crowd. As much as I like my car, I feel like maybe it needs a little something extra. Short of repainting, I'm really just looking for wheel/trim options to possibly spruce it up a bit.

So, if you've got a Seal Grey 996 you wouldn't mind sharing a pic of, that would be awesome. To get things started, here's mine in it's current state. Nothing 'wrong' with it, just feel like it could use a little sumthin-sumthin. Black wheels?

UPDATE: I should mention I've already replaced the pumpkins so we can check that box off. The pic I put up was a month or so old.

If you decide you want black wheels, painting yours is always an option:

Thanks mharrison. Your car looks great. That aero kit really sets everything off.

I think I saw someone here recently plastidip their wheels to look like the ones you posted in your last pic. (Unless those are them?). I'm not sure I want to plastidip, but I do like the way those wheels look when painted black but with a little silver left showing around the lip. I'd probably go the permanent paint route. Those look pretty cool.

One more note. There's probably an RoW M030 suspension in my future this year for the car. Car is at ~82K miles and coming due. Looking forward to a little drop in height and closing up those wheel wells that comes with it.

I was shopping specifically for an aerokit car. Personally, I think they look good and stand out a bit.

I was initially looking at a black aerokit car in Atlanta with the wheels you have, but I thought it would look better with the wheels painted black. I did some research and found that pic of them painted. If I had bought that car, my wheels would have been painted like that. I really like the silver lip. Honestly, 100% black wheels tend to get a bit lost and blend into the tire in the shade. That silver lip sets them off.

But, I stopped in Birmingham to look at the Seal Gray car on the way to Atlanta and ended up buying it and cutting my trip short. I think I made the right choice as this one was well cared for and had quite a few mods.

Fierofly,
I came across that car in an earlier post and I followed your thread about the LS3 conversion. I think you and I are operating on very different levels of motivation and capability as far as car upgrading goes. Car looks great, and I bet it goes like crazy.

I'm also immensely jealous of your garage setup.

Great looking car. If I had the Turbo and those extra wide hips, nicer front end, and rear ducting ports, I'd probably feel less need to do anything to mine.

Both shots are from recent autocross events.

My regular setup is 18" Sport Technos.

19" some sort of wheels that came from the previous owner.
