Is that mod the one where the internals of the original exhaust are gutted?

I had been thinking of doing the same thing to my original mufflers, but found a guy on youtube that had done both carnewal mod and the gundo hack. When i asked him about it he said the gundo hack is louder then carnewal. My goal is to be just a tidy bit louder then gundo.

This is the correct link to the Carnewal GT exhaust for the 996.

The internals are modified for a better flow, not gutted.

The carnewal mod doesn't get rid of all the baffles. There are a couple owners here with fully gutted mufflers which sound different than the carnewal mod. This is something I plan on doing this summer. Also to note since the carnewal mod doesn't get rid of all the baffles/internal pipes, you aren't saving as much weight as fully gutted version.

With that said, I speculate they are getting rid of one of the internal pipes that's been known to get loose and rattle over time.

I Had Cantrell Motorsports install the Carnewal GT exhaust on my 2000 C2 cab last Monday and I am very happy with the result.
It has really transformed the car, it just sounds and feels more like a proper Porsche. It cost me about $1k best Mod to date for sure.

Some words that help describe the change would be.
Retro. classic, tasteful, , rich, tactile and satisfying

Nice. I wonder how it compares to the Fister cans. Any sound clip?

Default my cats...

Gert,
Just to keep you updated...

I've bought a set of used cats on here to get me through the CA smog.

I'm intending to ship my old ones to you in a month or so to have you update those, and possibly put in the bypass/loud switch too.

Thanks!
