Are the front bumpers on the MK1 and Mk2 the same?

The biggest difference is in the headlight lines. The Mk1 fits headlights for 3.4 Gen 1 996's and the Mk2 fit the Gen2 3.6 996

I understand that part. I’m thinking more along the bottom edge and side profiles... the reason I ask is for splitter and canard reasons.

This use to be my car... how ironic to have come across it online after all these years. 99 996 with aerokit pack. I changed the side markers to clear from orange and changed the exhaust tips myself. The rest including the carbon fiber pack was straight out of the manufacturing line in Germany. I had tons of fun with this car and it still looks nice... enjoy it...

Is that an add-on lip for the front bumper of a MK1? Details please!

Looks good!

The rear wing and side skirts look like 996.2 GT3/aerokit or aftermarket copies. Getty makes decent copies of that wing and maybe the skirts..

Your guess is as good as mine on the front - maybe an add on lower aerokit-like section like some of the aftermarket offer?

It also looks like they flipped the center radiator GT3RS/GT2/cup style (note the upper vents in the bumper).

Took mine out of storage this week, when you keep looking back at your car and take pictures of it all the time, you know you are still in love.

Thanks for making me feel not so crazy! Yes, I admit, I do the same! Also can't help turning around after I park it at work and looking back, what a site!

Is there a group for us, like "Porsche Lover's Anonymous"?
