I am looking to get a voltage regulator locally at NAPA or a dealer, what is a part number I can look for the will work? NAPA online database says they do not carry a voltage regulator for the Porsche 996. Any cross reference part numbers? Volkswagon? Audi? Thanks!

Look at some of these, all work. Do a search on voltage regulators.

Thanks. Ended up getting a remanufactured alternator. Installed and fixed the issue completely.
