Wonder if its some sort of automated bot or at the very least its a scammer. I did something stupid once on CL and people got my info and kept posting fake ads for the same car I was selling. Thankfully it was just CL stuff and no personal or financial info.

Go buy one. I don't recall criticizing any of your offerings. Maybe you should put me on ignore, so you don't have to suffer through my posts.

Are you a dealer? Not being critical...just asking if that's your car and your dealership

Doc isn’t a dealer. He runs the internet. Not joking.

Not a dealer, not my car, no financial interest. I would presume that anyone posting here has no relationship to the car linked. Just offering up tasty 996s.

BTW, I don't run the whole internet, just N Amer, EU, and Scandinavia.

The seller lives in a very affluent area and it's surprising that he doesn't just take care of the 2-3k IMS issue at one of the 5-6 local shops that service these.

If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't do it either. That's a very early build 1999 (3/98 if I remember correctly) with a dual-row bearing. I'm in similar shoes with a Feb '98 car with 90k miles. Why shell out 2-3k for someone else's benefit? The car is priced very fairly at $19,900 - let the next owner decide what to do.

With all due respect, that is a dubious statement. I would not walk across the street to look at a 90k car that is running original IMS.

Let's not stir the IMS pot in this thread, and go back to posting tasty 996s. Someone find me a bright color Aero to buy!

Good for you?

I have owned two 90k+ mile 996s with original IMS bearings and will probably own a third at a some point.

Well, good for you. Now go buy a few lottery tickets!

Ok, sorry for the snarky comment. My point is being missed. A high mileage car with original IMS is a criteria point for me when buying. Why pay that kind of money when there are so many out there priced better or with the IMS done?
