Ironically, I did see one everyday until last week - literally every day I walked past it. We had one in the museum. Very cool car. It got replaced last week by a C4 Z06.

^That looks more than a little like my 1974 Sterling.

Here's the Ferrari from Rubik's post. Buy it now of $9 million. I paid $6,000 for the Sterling. Hell, I'd take half a million for it right now. Now that's a deal. Anybody seen Blswan?

KC, now, that would be a nice museum piece.

I'll pass as it looks like it needs new motor mounts. Makes you wonder what other items have been neglected.

Default 2000 C2 Coupe 157k miles, $9995

http://www.wcautoworks.net/mobile/md...?VID=259069742

Lowest price 996 I have seen so far. Says "it runs and drives, just needs some TLC....."

I pulled the carfax on the VIN from the carguru site:

5 Owners
42 service records
Carfax says the car is worth $2500 more than retail. I've never included these values when looking at the pricing of a car, but apparently the system thinks it is worth a high valuation.

At what price point is it worth considering a high miler like this one? Assuming a PPI, with leak-down test is good.

Asking more out of curiousity than seriously considering it. Would anyone consider buying it and at what price point?

Pass. Mileage doesn't bother me, however, there's no way I'd want to own a 996 with that toolbox sticker on the back end.

If Carfax rates it so highly and the dealer (who you know has seen the report) prices it so low, you know there has to be something wrong. No dealer will leave money on the table if they can avoid it.

If it wasn't on the other side of the country I'd consider it at that price and the closer it was to me the more likely I'd pick it up. As a second to put on the track it would be a great pickup to work from assuming it really is functioning moderately well.

Trying to throw us off the scent until you can put a deposit down?

I'm hoping it's a bad reference to Top Gear. If it is, that car isn't remotely Oliver-esque. If not, ummm... yeah....

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Oh my! The headlights!

If it were for the dumb LEDs it would actually look pretty good.

At only 115k I have to wonder what was done to the poor thing that it needed a new/rebuilt diff and axles...
