But just from looking around his 3,000 - 3,500 fix is probably on the low side to begin with.
Has the car been taken to Gbox for evaluation?

I've read some shady reviews about Gbox.

Interesting. Times are a changing. At one point, they were the best option for this type issue.

He says it’s been to Dart Auto in Denver, sounds like that might be a decent shop for Porsche service.

talked to dealer a few times and was sent the only information they have on it plus the service they performed on it. I’m high bidder on its listing on eBay.

Wow, that is as clean as it gets, beautiful C2! A few questions...
Are you local, would you be able to get there to take a quick look?
Can you post the eBay listing?
Did you google that VIN? Sometimes, the old ads and more info comes up.

Yup!
If it's the car you want, make the dealer a fair offer and have them pull the ebay listing.

I'm not a buyer, just a complainer. I see maybe 2-3 hours of competent labor written up there, and they were either charged massive amount per hour, or someone padded the hell out of the job.

Anyone else think it's weird when a car has been parked in the garage for four years?

Not really. Cars like this sit all the time with no use.

I would say as long as you get a PPI and everything checks out it shouldn't be an issue. I would definitely have all the fluids changed, check all the hoses and replace the tires. I would say if they were unwilling to have a PPI performed then something might be fishy though.

Before the internet days, that'd be a coveted "barn find".

I'd bet it hasn't had the oil changed in those 4 years!
