Slow power seat movement
Not sure if it is just me but my power seats seem to move very slowly. My '99 cab has the memory seat option - which is great, as I have two drivers, one tall (me) and one short. Switching between the two seems to take forever though. Any ideas on how to speed the seat movement up?

If it's moving slower than it used to, check the voltage to ensure your battery is charged correctly and ensure that all of the gearing is lubricated.
If the slowness is not a new symptom (they're both slow and always have been), there's not much you can do to correct. Power seats are geared to make them powerful and reliable, but glacially slow. You could in theory step up the voltage to increase the speed of the motors involved, but this isn't realistically something most people want to do to their Porsche.

My power seats move at a painfully slow rate also...

Thanks guys. They have always been slow (I've only had the car for a year though) as far as I know.
It has a new battery and I re-did the alternator and ground straps (which eliminated instrument dimming) so I think they are getting good voltage. Last time I was under the seats I cleaned up the ground connections there as well.
I will check on the lubrication of the seat motor gears.

Mine are painfully slow as well, and although I'm grateful to have memory seats for the same reasons you mention above, I have to hold the setting button down in order for it to fully get to the proper position.
