I've added Momos in all my previous cars, mostly BMWs, had the Monte Carlo, the Alpina 4 spokes 70s version...etc
Initial thoughts on Momo in the 996 C4S:

install is a bit more complex, needed to remove a few more pieces and take steering column covers off, but otherwise fairly straight forward
still need to source the resistor to get rid of air bag dummy light
small diameter makes for lively steering inputs, but slightly obscures visibility of gauge cluster, can feel the lightness of it, great hand feel as is usual for the Momos, nicer to throw the car around, great feedback through it
the Porsche silver emblem I found matches the exterior and interior trim

Seem to be experiencing a failure with the clutch pressure plate again

60k km since a clutch and flywheel and the pressure plate cracked again

I'm not racing or launching, just regular driving
Strange occurrence

Never thanked you for re-hosting all the pix, awesome car and love that your still at it. I'm on a very similar journey with a very similar car -- you remind me i need to journal the progress thus far.

Sorry to see the accident, but nice to see you fixing and carrying on.

Love the BMWs, clearly we have similar taste in cars, lol....

That steering wheel looks incredible in there. Is there a video or sound clip of any kind of your exhaust setup?

The skid plate in post #113 is a stock Porsche part. I have the same one on my 2002 (replacing it with a Bilt skid over the winter though, because I’m going from a half quart to a two quart sump extension).

Interesting. I've asked the dealership about this but they werent aware one had ever been available. If your upgrading, would your old one possibly be for sale ?
