Got my project running and took her out on her maiden voyage today. Nothing like driving it out of the garage under it's own power for the first time! Still have a lot of things to do and some more cosmetic changes, (like wheels, etc) but a huge victory to drive it today! As with any project, I had some issues along the way of course like the serpentine belt, the rear coolant hose and shifter cables! But anyway, here she is:

Looks great! Projects like these give such a rewarding feeling. You're a champion!

Wow, that buffed out nicely. What type of wax did you use? ;)

Seriously though, that looks great...enjoy!

Looking good! Like two different cars :)

GermanCarSpecialists 02-10-2014 02:34 AM

Good work!

Great work, what a transformation. I envy people like you who can turn picture #1 into what you have done. Sourcing and bolting up parts is one thing but to take a "mechanics special" to a working car again is way beyond my skills.

Job well done! Thanks for saving her

Theft recovery, accident damage, or both?

Soaringman 02-10-2014 02:22 PM

What's the story?
Is there another thread?
Where did you get it?
What did you do to it?
Do you like long walks on the beach ?
Etc..

In the first picture, is that an aftermarket 1x6 or OEM?

Great work.

Mhenry 02-10-2014 03:09 PM

Well done!

:roflmao:

Personally I can't justify paying stealership prices for these when you can get the same damn thing at Home Depot or Lowe's for a fraction of the price. Although, of course, some experts swear that the Lowe's 1X6s lead to...well you know. :icon501:

Your car looks beautiful. Great job!
