Default Stahlbus or Valvomax oil drain valves

Curious if anyone has either a Stahlbus or Valvomax oil drain valve installed on their 996? I have a 1999 and just ordered one. Now that I have it, I'm wondering if it will protrude too much from the bottom of the oil drain pan. The existing bolt is flush with the pan whereas the Valvomax that I got appears as though it will hang about an inch below the pan. I have another type of quick oil change valve installed on another vehicle I have and it works great, now just concerned that this one may not be ideal for the1999 996. Any thoughts?

Don't use anything that hangs below the sump plate, that's asking for trouble...

I had one of those on my ‘68 Nova back in the day. I remember the flow when doing oil changes was reduced. Some folks like the warm oil to flow out as quickly as possible.

Pulling into a parking lot one day, my factory aluminum skid play hit bottom.
It put some deep scratches in it.
That was before I lowered my car slightly with coilovers.
I now have a heavy duty LN skid plate to help protect the bottom of my car due to having added a 2qt deep sump.
I would never want anything hanging down from the sump.
These might be safe for engines with drain plugs on the side, but definitely not on the bottom.
Although I don't get the need for them.
Grabbing a wrench/hex bit and removing bolts is not difficult.
Tightening them with a torque wrench means they won't be difficult to remove next time.

I have a Fumoto drain valve on my Duramax diesel and it makes oil changes very easy . But the design of the oil pan protects the valve assembly . On a Porsche it is a disaster just waiting to happen . It is too exposed don't do it .

I had a quick-drain plug on my airplane. That made oil changes super easy. But the airplane has 3 feet of ground clearance to the engine. I would not want one on a car with a vertical oil drain.

Hey, thanks to everyone for their thoughts, will definitely pass on installing this. I contacted Valvomax and they were quick to issue me a refund, much appreciation to them for their quick response.
