Default Fister Exhaust

Sounds amazing!

Have done the ims, rms, clutch, aos, changed all fluids...

But this,... This was the best money spent yet!

Thanks Darin!

I know the feeling.
The general maintenance and fixes are money spent, but you don't notice any change.

But when you spend money and hear a difference, or feel a difference, it makes it all worth while

Which cans did you use for the mod? Like me, you have an MKI 996 with a 3.4 L engine but I've heard that the 3.6 L cans sound better(even on the 3.4 L engines) with the Fister mod.

Ordered the ones specific to the 3.4

Glad you joined the FisterD sound enhancement club. I've got the 3.4 cans and they are great.

I also did the FisterD mod on a 2002 3.6 - love the sound. Only now my mileage is suffering because my right foot is constantly reproducing that sound. I think Darin has stock in Exxon -

Best mod you can do.

And yes, my gas mileage suffered too.

Sound is great, especially with the top down

The 3.4 cans are the "specific" cans for the MKI 996, however both the 3.4 and the 3.6 cans will fit the 3.4l cars. I only ask because I've heard many people mention that the 3.6 cans(when modded with the Fister mod) sound far better(than the modded 3.4 cans) on the MKI cars.

I assume that if you order these mufflers for a 3.4l car you will receive modded 3.4 cans. I also assume that those who use the Fister modded 3.6l cans on their MKI cars specifically requested these cans(as opposed to the 3.4l cans).

Maybe Darin can chime in here on this topic but I don't think he pays much attention to the redheaded stepchild.

When I bought through Darin, he said to me that the 3.4s sounded just fine, and Id have to agree. Haven't heard the 3.6s to make a call.

Just got my cans back from Darin and all I can say is WOW! NOW this thing sounds like the performance machine it truly is.

Not that the stock sound is so bad, rather that a 911 that runs well needs the sound that this muffler mod gives you. I absolutely LOVE this mod and can't recommend it highly enough.

Got a new vanity plate ( SCREAMS ) and it fits the car with this exhaust. Sounds completely stock until you open the throttle and then it's party time. Biggest grin I've had on my face since buying the car.

Had a little surface rust on the cans (stock 03 3.6) so I opted for the ceramic coating in the Titanium color. Want the cans to last as long as possible!

Also have to speak to the quality of the welds which were top notch.

If you're considering this mod.....get your CC out and make the call.....

I think of this as the exhaust the car should have had from the factory. Friend has an 03 with sport exhaust. It perhaps sounds a bit more aggressive, but not by much.

Love mine. A no-brainer upgrade.

What's the size of the bypass pipe on original FisterD?
