My narrowbody c4 twin turbo cabrio
#22
please share pics of the build and technical details, I am sure some other people are interested in the conversion... I mean there are number narrow body with blown engines, so the conversion can be very tempting. especially with a 2 wheel drive that would be nuts
what were the biggest challenges ?

4 issues ABS pump from 996 turbo was needed. Fuel pump and custom return line from turbo is needed. Fan wiring under hood was necessary for turbo is 3 way fan. Mounting og turbo motor mount brackets necessary. Also used turbo instrument cluster. Def not for everyone but cool as s**t. Goes back on dyno Monday for more power

OP, def need to upload a Video , either on the street or dyno.
That exhaust has to sound sooo good. I'm glad my Turbo has a Custom Speedtech exh. If not, I'd consider the Kline, also.
I'm thinking it was a gear-head "outside the box" moment. Maybe ( or maybe not) some alcohol and late nights in the garage/man cave.
FWIW, great job and, as you say, "issueless".
Having seen other "brainiac" mods years ago... I'm all for the real-deal and WB P-cars.

To the question Why..... I asked myself the same thing. I bought the car from a friend who just had to have this done I guess. I mean I basically bought it when it was near done because he wanted to buy a coffee shop in Harlem. Anyways I paid very little for the car. His receipts rack up to 57k but I got to reep the benefits so thats why lol.
I bought the car as a stock conversion so all EPL added aftermarket parts for the motor were done by me. never thought I would own a convertible but im lovin it. PS fastest porsche alive is Eddie Bellos Narrowbody hes a good friend. Everyone that sees the car loves it and I love being different.

If you guys know me from 6speedonline you will know I owned a very fast gt800 EVOMS 996tt coupe. I got screwed on a 1000hp build with Steve Kaspar and Imagine Auto and left the porsche scene for a couple years. This is how I got back in. A 996tt WB cabrio with these mods would be in the 60k range. With purchase of car and all mods Ive done im a little over half that. Like I said Unpassable. Now if the car was a hack job and had crazy CELS then this would be silly.... But it doesnt!
