I'm very lucky to have BBS RS-GTs and a set of Champion RG-5's. You don't necessarily have to have $3k saved up. Just keep an eye out on used ones if you are ok with saving 40-50% off new.

OK, I may have figured out how to add photos. Again, these are the 993 twists in chrome. I like the larger openings much better than my 996 twists.

Anyone tried Fuchs wheels on 996? Only found this small picture which is not telling much

Modern Fuchs are awesome, but $1500 each is pretty steep.
