Nice looking car. With so few miles have you considered doing the IMS ?

Low mileage examples seem to be more prone to failure. If it hasnt been done, consider this before any further upgrades. Just my .02

yea, I will soon. I will probably tear into when it gets a bit colder and do the IMS. once the car is up for winter.

nice purchase and way to make sure the maintenance was taken care of under your watch. keep good records.
I am partial to those wheels, very nice and lightweight. looks like in the last pic,
you did a dry fit with the rear wheel; are you sure it doesn't stick out from the fender edge?
the offset you mention, 18 X11 et +43 is a Widebody offset. with the tires mounted, do a couple more fitment tests. Since you are lowered and plan on rolling the fenders, the look should be quite radical, for sure.
I think another RL member has somehow worked a WB wheel to a NB 996. YMMV.

Right now I am running stock camber in the rear which isn't very much. The top of the wheel does fit very even with the body, with a touch of negative camber, the roll and a "narrow" tire for the rear meaning a 275. It should fit nicely. Of course there are still some things I can do to make it fit a bit better if i start to have problems with rubbing but I shouldn't need to.

I purchased them because I tend to like more aggressive wheels (not hellaflush or superstanced lol) and i hope i wasn't overzealous but it should turn out ok.

YMMV?

Welcome, cool name and lots of nice pics. I have similar wheels on my C2. Thanks for the intro.

275 on a 11" wheel... Did you by chance come from the Audi/VW crowd?

Your mileage may vary..... 275 on the 11" may be a bit much. also try a 285or 295 and some negative camber. trial and error in what looks and feels best for you.
hold onto those wheels for when you pick up a Turbo....
def. post up some pics. the chromaflair color looks awesome in the sun.

I like the wheel choice, who makes them?

Actually quite the opposite. Supra world then into the bmw (had some M3's).

I will go with a thicker tire most likely but that is the estimated tires right now. I'm ready for the hate. In case you are wondering I keep slicks on some hollow spokes for the track

Yeah I just don't understand from a functional perspective using narrower tires on a wide wheel as that is counter productive in providing an increased contact patch for added grip. It does add to style points but that's about it.

You might want to supplement your oiling system when running your slicks depending on the track(s) you drive on and your cornering abilities.
