My Craftsman has a fill hole. It's easy to add oil.

A big difference in jack quality is being able to modulate lowering speed. Cheap jacks tend to be on/off and the better jacks will let you control how fast your baby comes down.
I never knew this. So that's another positive point I'll throw in about my Craftsman floor jack - it is very, very precise when it comes to lowering. It can lower so slow you barely notice it.
