Just to be safe, attach a remote microphone to the engine case as close as possible to the IMS. Then hook it up to a receiver inside the car. That way you can listen to the shaft spinning the entire trip and you will hear any abnormalities

Haha!! Normally I would have but I didn't know what would happen if I tried to carry on my Flex. The TSA might have gone nuts. I made sure that most of my traveling was at night so nobody could see my filthy Porsche.

Where do i send the $100 check to buy this thing? Isn't this all they are worth to those who are trying to drive prices down?

Drive it, you will hurt it's feeling by not.

Dude. Seriously.
If its bothering you then fix it. Sounds like it is.
If not drive it.
Life is too short.

I think I put 500 miles on my car last weekend, at Road Atlanta under race conditions.

Ya but it's easy for you to act carelessly like that, you have double row IMS

This. Get a honda or similar that's more more financially prudent for him.

Given the amount of paranoia and idiocy in o/p's posts, I can only postulate he's financially stretching himself to own it to begin with.

Don't even start it!! Flat-bed it to a dealer and trade it in. You will be much happier.

Best Troll post on this board in a while! 43 posts in no time flat!

BTW, my favorite of Gelefsky's reasons not to drive your car:
4: Sit in the drivers seat grip the wheel and make vroom vroom noises.

This is the stupidest thread I think I've read on this forum in the last year!!!

FFS - take you big girls blouse off and drive your car!!! This IMSB paranoia is nuts!! What a maybe .5% actual failure rate of all M96 engines - you need to grow a pair!!
