This is a service school item, it covers how the roof/hardtop/soft top works for the 986 Boxster, 996 Carrera (Sunroof), Carrera Targa and Cabriolet. Actually Cayenne, too, but there isn't a lot there. 16 pages for the Boxster, 68 for the 996 Cab (about 25 are from the owner's manual, dicussing operation), six for the sunroof, 22 for the Targa, 15 for the Cayenne. 127 pages total.
It does not tell you a lot about fixing them, other than using the diagnostic tester, how to reset, open/close in emergency, etc., it goes into really great detail about how everything works and what the components are. I scanned the contents of each section and then some detail pages from the 996 section. The Boxster section is about as thorough, the Cayenne is not.
