Blackstone is good and cheaper, but if you want a Porsche specific diagnosis, stick with SpeedDiagnostix.

If this is your first UOA, might be interesting to send 2 samples to 2 different labs and see how they compare. Not a huge added expense and it would make for a compelling thread, lol

I’ve been using the Wix UOA kits for years. You can usually find them fairly cheap on Amazon from time to time, or full price at O’Reilly. All of the Wix kits get sent to a place called ALS Tribology, which has locations around the US. I used to send my samples to the Atlanta office but now I mail to their lab in Ohio. Their OH lab will provide a fuel dilution reading, using gas chromatography, for no extra cost. All you have to do is write “please perform Fuel by GC” on the submission form.
Oh, the Wix kits also include TBN readings for free.
I will say that ALS’s analysts don’t seem to have any expertise with the M96, but I don’t care as I analyze the results myself.
The OilVue kits mentioned above are also analyzed by ALS. OilVue can detect large size wear metals using the Particle Quantification Index (PQI), which Wix will not. Conversely, OilVue will not do a fuel dilution test like Wix.
