Dont worry about it. Also, on the aero bumper that you have, you can remove the center section and screen that as well. It is made to cut out for the third radiator on the GT3. Then you will have even more air flow through the front end-if that is your concern...

Good job! I doubt that you are impacting air flow that much--if at all.

There are rubber boots between the intake ducts and the radiators so any air from an opened up center duct would not reach the radiators unfortunately.

Thanks for the explanation....learn something new everyday.

Trapper I know you said you used epoxy, but can you give a brief explanation on how you mounted them, etc.?

Thanks,

DS

Well, I bought aluminum gutter guard at Home Depot or Lowe's for about $5. One piece does both ducts. I cut the approximate shape of the duct out of the mesh with about a one inch overlap and spray painted the mesh black on both sides. After removing the bumper, you simply bend the edges of the mesh around the lip of the duct from the back side and carefully epoxy the edges of the mesh to the bumper. There will be a lot careful trimming necessary for the mesh to fit tightly. You have to look at how the rubber boot fits up against the bumper to makes sure the mesh is glued in place where it won't interfere with how the rubber seals around the duct. I used weights and wedges to hold the mesh snug while epoxy dried. Remember, I did this on an aero bumper so not sure if it will work on other bumpers, but I would think it would be the same.

I think they look good. I've been considering a set from rennline.

Looks good, I might think about it myself.

Incidentally the louvers on 'sport prototype' wheel arches are to bleed air into the low pressure created over the body work and reduce the lift created.

the 3.4 already have heating issues... I say don't screen and just due an annual cleaning. With that said, I have a 3rd radiator and put a screen there since it is lower and up front.
