Default Mobile 1 ESP - M 5W-40

NOT TRYING TO TURN THIS INTO AN OIL DISCUSSION....JUST QUICK THOUGHTS....
can't find the motul 5w-40 locally...so i saw a mobile 1 esp-m....supposedly for
Mercedes....the "ESP" is for exhaust system protection....should i get this, order the motul or stay with the 0W-40....thx

ESP = lower levels of Zinc too

For what it's worth, I bought Mobil 1 at the Mercedes dealer recently, and the ESP was recommended.

Mobil 1 ESP 0w-40 is on the Porsche approved list.

If you got this recommendation from the Mercedes dealer that's comforting.

But if you got the Mobil 1 ESP 5w-40 oil you got that because the Mercedes dealer stocks that oil for its models.

Until the end of January, the Castrol Edge 5w-40 is on sale at Advance Auto , 2 for 1, so like $3.50 a QT. No brainer, IMHO. (or is it Autozone...can't remember now which one. I just go to the store!)

it's 5w-40.....just happened to see it NAPA

Perry, your right. I completely forgot about the sale. Its at Advance Auto. Awesome price. Thanks for reminding me. Im going tomorrow. My oil is a few months old so its gotta be changed anyway (internet humor about other post).
