I'm hours away from finishing the top end refresh and because of the rain, haven't been able to touch it. Ot's on a trailer, parked infront of my garage.

After Labor Day, we no longer wear white, have to wear socks and switch from "clear liquids." I am a single malt and cigar guy, but I always wanted to try an aged rum........any suggestions....... we are hunkered down waiting for Sandy to pass. A lot of wind (gusts 60-70 MHP) due up here, not so much rain, tonight could be interesting with the trees and all..........

Try the new bacardi anejo...similar to a havana club. Or some of the appleton estates aged ...reserve is nice. Id like to try the 21 yo (who wouldnt!) ae. Theres now a 30 yo appletons but its spendy.

right there with you on the switch to the darker spirits come the colder months, although i prefer bourbons.

this is a terrible dark rum. i mean extremely terrible. but its from newfoundland--made with glacier water. more on newfoundland in another post.

if youre not an american, go for my fave...havana club anejo reserva. or try out the havana club seleccion maestro or even the 15 yo...been trying to find the maestro here but none in the province at all. the 15 yo is around 175/bottle. hoping to find it at duty free in mexico next month.

Sitting here hoping no large trees fall because I never picked up a new set / had my chainsaw blades sharpened from the last 70ft tree fiasco.
