Yep sounds like a starter, plunger not returning home. Starter is behind the intake plenum.... Maybe you can do a quick test by removing the belt to make sure it's not a slippage noise... Just don't let it run to long.

I replaced my starter right after I bought the car, but can't remember if the old one made this noise...
