If you bring it to your independent repair station they will replace it with new OEM glass instead of a repair. My experience with satellite was horrible!!!!!! You dealer or independent repair center will do the job right not the cheapest! Any Metro PCA tech center can help you

I have also had several good experiences with Safelite and deliberately have insurance covering windshields. As a matter of fact, I got a big chip the other day, no star pattern luckily, and will call about a repair and will see how that goes. Should be no problem, since the windshield just needs a small repair as opposed to a replacement.

I also have had great experience with safelight ... However, when windshields need replacing i don't let them repair anywhere but at their facility. The quality is much better there and more controlled.

Safelite has been great for me. They replaced the windshield in the Porsche and it looks as good as new. And they filled a smaller defect that is out of my view in my 2015 Chevrolet SS when the car was almost new and you can still barely see it unless you’re looking for it. This is not to diminish local glass shops who do fine work but you can trust Safelite.

and the great thing is safelight is still in business since this necro thread from 8+ years ago was abandoned.
