Check suncoast or pelican parts. I used aftermarket LEDs (ebay) with mixed results (bulbs are easier to install and look more factory "original"). I believe the LCD bulbs are 1.5watts so:

Part #: * 999-631-303-90-M97

Under $2 online.

Unless your instrument cluster is significantly different from a '01 cluster, the clock/oil level area is an LCD panel attached with a ribbon. There is no light bulb. The LCD is powered through the ribbon. Chances are that the ribbon connection is going bad. Here is a picture (sorry it's not the best quality) of the clock panel that I removed from the instrument cluster that I used as a donor for my center panel.

This is my next project - for tomorrow am - has anyone seen red led's? and if so is it possible to do the climate control and the CDR 220 radio?

For some reason it started working again a few days later and has been working since. Go figure....

The bulb behind LCD speedo/temp screen in center cluster expired in mine; does anyone know correct bulb to order to replace? Green, black, or beige? TIA!

Ok, I just checked and the LCD bulbs are beige, but I've used black in them and the intensity seems identical.

Anyone that needs cluster bulbs, PM me for freebies.

yes, same issue for my 2001 996.
Rarely, does it work.
Did you find any fixes?
