I hope it wasn't designed by the same people that designed the Turbo's rear spoiler.

Did a story for a magazine about a local guy who used to own a machine shop that did a lot of parts for aviation. Had a large log-cabin-looking home. Near the front door was a service bay for his cars with a lift. What wasn't obvious was that the lift could also lower the car into his 3,500' sq ft, finished basement where he kept other cars. Didn't work on them much there as he had a large, multi-level outbuilding complete with lifts and a full fabrication shop including computer-controlled lathes, etc., + a full-time mechanic/machinist to keep him company during their restorations on his cars.

His "secret" was that he picked up a number of interesting/odd cars just to trade for cars he really wanted. Said that a number of collectors prefer to trade most of the value of cars so as not to interst the IRS. The cash portion of the transactions would be relatively small...otherwise, it was a "paper swap" of titles.

And I stretch to find a place to keep my winter tires/wheels.

Every parking lot should have them no more worries about careless people touching or bumping against your door, bumpers,.. etc.

I'm not interested in servicing or what to do when the power or pump doesn't work.

Very cool...

I know people that have garage doors that access their basement, my neighbor has this type of set up in fact. I'd love to have a finished basement with a tiled floor area to park cars. It would be so cool to hang out in your rec room and be able to look over and see your cars.
