Cleaning Suggestion?
Shortly after buying my '99 996 last summer, I pulled the warning sticker off the passenger side of the dash. As expected, the area under it was a cleaner, lighter color. I have tried to clean the rest of the dash to make it match, but no luck.
I have tried P21S Total Wash (a very strong citrus cleaner) and an off the shelf vinyl cleaner from Meguiar's. You can't even tell I attempted to clean.
Anyone ave another suggestion to try?
Thanks.

Buy a new sticker
I think your best bet is trying to match the clean to the dirty as opposed to the other way around. 13 years of sun, heat, cold, dirt, dust, etc... Is pretty much impossible to return to new.

Wow. That is an obnoxious sticker. Who would have ever put it in that place to begin with.

When my friend bought a hardtop for his car it had a beige interior and his interior was grey. He had all the beige trim pieces dyed grey at an automotive upholstery shop and it came out great. I am thinking that if they could dye beige to grey they may also be able to dye beige to beige and hide this. Try talking to a few shops.

Thanks everyone. I was hoping that there was a magic cleaner that I was missing. Right now, the car is 50/50 track and pleasure, so I'll live with it or if I find an appropriate sticker (whatever that is ) I'll go that route.

check out the leatherique site...they have some instructions and recommendations...you can "wash" the entre area with a tan dye to even things out...there are other vinyl/leather care sites that offer the same..
