Think about going driving from Houston. I use to live in Daytona many year ago. Went to Embry Riddle.
Anyone else driving from Houston? Where is everyone staying this year?

Got the Brumos Brigade deal but hotel prices are insane especially given the "caliber" of hotels in that area. Have not been up there since the 90's and the hotels were quite dated but apparently the hotels are still living in the 80's

We found something in Port Orange that was new and cheaper. PM me if you need detail. We found the deal online better than calling them.

Only a few days away. Got my Brumos package yesterday (tickets, hats, and other promo stuff)
I will be zooming across I-10 east tomorrow morning and hopefully I-95 south later that night.

Cool Latest info on tickets and access

Below is an outtake from the PCA Zone 12 Rep coordinating the Porsche Parking Paddock. Read and Heed if you are attending:

All categories of tickets for the 50th Rolex 24 at Daytona that include parking are sold out. All RV parking spaces are sold out. Infield parking passes for race teams have been reduced significantly. Daytona International Speedway’s website has been updated regarding parking and now reads as follows:
BASED ON AVAILABILITY: General Admission car parking is sold at the Turn 1 and Turn 4 tunnels on a first-come basis: $10 – Thurs, $10 – Friday, $20 – Saturday & Sunday, $10 – Sunday only. Daily parking is not guaranteed to be sold based on advance sales. Due to the 50th anniversary of the Rolex 24 there is a chance the infield will fill earlier than previous years and not be available for purchase.
A parking space will be reserved in the Corral for the Regions’ support vehicle, provided that it can gain access to the infield. I am working with the track to allow that to happen.

A sign with the following text will be at the entrance to the Corral; waivers/signatures are not required this year:

WELCOME
Porsche Vehicles Only
PCA Membership not required
Please register inside hospitality tent
Parking on “as-available” basis
Camping is not permitted
“For Sale” signs not permitted
Park at your own risk
PCA not responsible for loss or damages

All Porsche owners and their guests are permitted to register in the tent; PCA membership materials will be available for non-members. A separate sign-up is required for the Grand Am door prizes and hot pit passes; the sign-up places the person on the Grand Am’s email list for upcoming racing events.
Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for Saturday’s TRG Paddock Tour (leaves Corral at 11:40 am) and are REQUIRED for Saturday’s Grand Am Hot Pit Passes (leaves Corral at 1:40 pm).

I am parking in the Brumos area. It will be easier to leave if needed. Getting in and out of the infield can take some time. It would be cool to park in the corral but also a hassel.
Plus I think you would have to buy inflied tickets to park there.
