The PSS10's I have came with a lifetime guaranty. Maybe Bilstein will rebuild them for free.

Attached are the specs for the PSS10's for a Turbo, for a C4 and the PSS9 specs for a C4. Unfortunately I don't have them for a C2. I found these on-line in 2010 but when I go to the site now I can find them again or the C2 specs. The specs list the part number for each component and may help you identify the set you have. Wish I had gotten them for the C2 when I got these.

I decided to buy them, so we'll know soon if they fit

now it is time for me to decide if I want to do at the same time some more upgrade to get more negative camber :

- camber plate with monoball (gt3 or tarett or rennline)
- lower control arm (gt3 or gmg)
- monoball bushing

I am doing the upgrade to have the car a little bit more track friendly so...

Hoping that I will not be getting the dreaded PSS grinding noise that some other have experienced. Anyways after two suspension install within a year it shoudl be easy to take them in and out..hopefully

ok I got the set

Today I inspected the part and while I was able to compress the rear, with a lot of force I have to say, I could not make the front shock compress one millimeter even with my considerable weight

Is that normal ?

Because when I installed the RoW030 I was able to compress the rear with one hand and the front with both hands. mucchhhhh softer

Are the pss9 that much stiffer ? As it seems they have never been installed, I want to check as much as possible that they are at least functional

Congrats on the new legs for the ride. The shocks will be much stiffer then the RoW030 units.

Just had a used set of PSS9's installed on my '99 along with all new Elephant Racing bushings. Stunning difference. You will love them when you are finished.

Found this online at http://www.truckspring.com/suspensio.../bilstein.aspx ...look at the Product Overview tab and you can download the instructions. They are the PSS10 but the install should be the same.

Be careful to notice exactly what parts are re-used from your old struts. It is MUCH clearer on the PSS10 vs the PSS9 manual (exact same parts re-used). I went ahead and got new upper strut mounts (I'll find the part numbers) and I had a post around somewhere of the part number and small cost of additional blue washers which prevent windup and spring back noise. You should be able to compress all of them, BTW, though it takes some effort.

Has anyone the TUV report for this kit?

I have the installation instructions (11 pages) that came in the box, but there is no TUV for homologation.

PSS9 for the 996C2 from 2002. The front shocks are VM3-5252 and the rear shocks are BM5-6803. The Bilstein kit part# is F4-GM5-8846-H0

I would be very grateful if you could send me this TUV report in PDF or so.


PD. I have found PSS10 (GM5-D534) installation instructions pdf and there is TUV homologation in it, but not in mine (GM5-8846)... please help!
