Default Paddles for 996 C4S?

I am researching what to purchase for my first Porsche and have decided on a 996 C4S. Now I am down to the decision of 6 speed or tiptronic. I would get the tiptronic if I could do the paddle shifter and wheel replacement I have seen done in the turbo and 997 forums. Has anyone done this on a 996 C4S? Is it possible?

Thanks everyone!

Gert @ Carnewal has paddle shift steering wheels for Tips, IIRC $795 give or take a few....
just "searched" and FVD shows a paddle wheel for Euro 995
