Default Porsche hood crest fail...

I open my trunk today and hear a horrible...clunk...thunk...
The hood Crest just fell sort of...off! right down the hood.
Never seen that happen before, the pins on the back just broke off.
Too bad, it was in perfect shape.

Steeeenkin badges!

Hello Suncoast!

This happens occasionally. The best solution is JB Weld. Weld back on the tabs and let it cure for at least two days. Then reinstall--DO NOT overtorque the nuts. (It can also warp the badge).

No patience for that, I will just replace it. But thanks for the info!
And I never overtorque my nuts.

Had to buff out some scratches from the slide but no harm done.

If you close your hood with the crest instead of the area just below the crest this can be the outcome. Just saying

I heard if you glue a magnet to the back of that crest and stick it on your toolbox, everytime you grab a wrench it'll be the correct one.
