Always great to have another owner here! When you have a chance please shoot me an email so that I can get the details of your car to add it to the Registry car list. 40jahre911@gmail.com. Thanks. Ted

Hi Everyone,

Hope your summer is off to a great start. Thought I'd post some cellphone pics of my late night drive to a Porsche dealer!

Anybody like these rims off of a 09 Carrera 4s? Going to sell them and go back to the originals.

Looking good Steve, the wheels look great on a 40AE. You commented before that you had some work done on the car, what did it need?

The reason I originally had work done was the vario cams were out of sinc. Found it was a broken wire. So while your working on things might as well up grade stuff. New clutch/flywheel, really not needed yet. New IMS bearing, still working, but change it! Oil/air seperator. Front suspension pieces. New seals. All were done at 344,000, now with 352,000 and running great. Struts all around are the next project. Steve

Hi Everyone,
I am new in the rennlist Forum and the owner of #850 (the 40AE with the fuchs wheels in this thread).
I have a question: does anybody have the original bucket seat option for the 40AE? In europe you could order the bucket seats and a rollcage from the factory as an option. What colour does the leather of the bucket seat have? darkgrey or black?
Thanks
Florian

See this thread for a 40th with the bucket seats:

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=45397

I have a pair of the "black" bucket seats and if there is a difference in color from the rest of the inside of my 40th, I can't tell.

Since the 40AE came with a pretty good list of "standard" options, I thought there was only a very limited selection of additional options such as Nav, PSE, 6 CD changer, maybe a few others. Wasn't aware that you could order other options even in Europe. Somewhere in the 40AE archives is an order guide showing what you could get. Maybe someone can link that.

From the 40 Jar 911 Registry Group

" PSE was a dealer-installed option. In fact, the only available options from the factory were natural grey floormats, comfort seats with power package, rear window wiper, Bose high-end sound system, remote 6-disc CD changer, and Porsche Communications Management (navigation system – “PCM”), although buyers outside of North America could also choose two additional options: GT3 seats and telephone handset. Has anyone installed a set of Ohlins Road & Track on their 40? If so, what else did you change/add at the time and are you happy with the setup? Are you primarily a DD or do you use for HDE and AC, too? How does the ride compare to stock?

I know it fits the M030: https://www.pressreader.com/uk/911-p...81569470917091
