Nice car, wished mine looked like that! But what the hell, I've had my fun!

Default "40 fast years" decal.

Did some internet searching for this decal, no luck. Anyone have a source for these? I'd like to remove the aftermarket tint and maybe gather some period decals. Saw one today at the festival of speed on a 1965 911, decal with -1965- added to the bottom.

Plenty of posters on eBay which are cool and $10 shipped. Anyone know a source for the sticker?

(I guess the iPad uploads photos sideways, sorry.)

I have not seen that sticker before but plaques like the one in my pic show up pretty frequently (I bought the one in the pic a few years ago).

Bonzer, which # is your 40th? I'd like to update the Registry with your info. When you have a moment please shoot me an email at 40jahre911@gmail.com so that I can get a few details. Thanks much. Ted

Hello!!

I received the 911 back emblem for #298 but according to the indications that TAZ40JAHRE sent me, the position where I need to install it is curved and the emblem is flat. I checked and the one that I received is a 30th. As the only thing that I need is the number 911 I thought it was ok but looks like it doesen't fit. Can anyone tell me if the original is curved in order to match the surface?

No, it will be flat from the factory. You mold it to fit when you apply it to the car.

This is cast metal, it doesn't bend. I better return it as it's a 30th and ask for the original one, I guess is plastic.
Thanks for your reply.

Smart move - when I first read that you were going to use the "911" numbers from a 30 Jahre logo I wondered whether that would work. Here's a few pics that might help - both front and side views. Good luck!

Hahaha!! Not so smart now that I see the situation
I can tell by the pictures that it must bend to the surface. With the one i have, is not possible. So, for the record of the group:

EVEN IF THE EMBLEM OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY IS EXACTLY THE SAME IN SHAPE AND FINISH. IT DOESN'T WORK!!

Thanks TAZ!
