How do you guys keep your wheels looking good. Mine seem to have lost their "sparkle".

I use PS21 and lots of elbow grease. I also keep up on it, and don't let the brake dust build up for a few months - I clean them every 3 weeks or so with the PS21 and an old t-shirt. Comes out like new for me.

Added to registry. I would love to hear how all of that sounds. Even better, how about a dyno?

Just bought #1423; what a fun car!
19,200 miles CPO

Great site, but it has made me concerned about the IMS issue. Thank you for all of the helpful information.

Welcome! Nice choice of car :-)

Get an IMS Guardian from Flat 6 Innovations if you are concerned - as an early warning device - or you can do what I did and replace it.

Wait until your CPO is done.

Congratulations! Added to the registry. Post a pic of the car if you mod it too.

I also agree with Steve. I would consider an IMS guardian or LN IMS replacement once the CPO runs out if I were you because you have such low mileage. I think IMS tends to grenade more often on low mileage cars. See post 2 in this thread for IMS failures in 40th AEs.

Flybye, how's the air box and muffler bypass sound, is it very intusive or only really under acceleration?

I really can't hear a difference with the airbox, the bypass pipes are very different. if you drive it very easy it's not too loud, however if you stomp on it I suggest ear plugs. My wife hates the noise but it reminds me of being in a race car. It's not a daily driver so it's loads of fun

Are our 40th AE cars low enough to worry about buying the skid plate?
Thank you.

Default Another add to the registry

Just purchased #1275 this weekend from a dealer in NY; previous owners added the alumina interior to match the 40th anniversary silver center console for a really clean and unique look.
