Impressive Mileage! Is this on the original IMSB? Someone should sticky that pick in the IMSB thread if so!

Congrats on the 250K milestone! Equally impressive is how you still love and enjoy the car even with that many miles.

Wow! That's awesome. Can you tell us what all you've replaced in those 250k miles and any preventative maintenance items you addressed?

Awesome indeed. Great to hear the car has been reliable for you. Are you the original owner?

Hey Vancouver -

The front bumper on the 40AEs is basically the same one as the C4S or Turbo all painted in GT Silver - including vent grill covers - (lower black lip is definitely from C4S). I'm guessing in theory they should fit your 2004 C2 without mods.

The side skirts are from the GT3.

I agree it looks particularly well on the narrow bodied 40AEs - but then again I'm a bit biased...

Cheers.

Hey, stranger! Great to see you're still out there. It's funny that you should ask. I got an email a couple of weeks ago from a German seller of the Minichamps cars and he said this (I translated it from German via Google Translate): "They wrote us the following mail and now we can tell you that the model will soon be available . Minichamps has been scheduled for the 48th week of 2015 , ie the end of November. Contrary to previous announcements , the model , however, 2, - EUR more expensive ; it now costs € 56.95."

I emailed him back to ask for pics and he said that he passed along the request from the supplier - I haven't heard back yet so I'll follow up.

Default Minichamps 40 Jahre 911 now available!

Today I was notified that the long-awaited Minichamps version of our cars is now for sale. The shop in Germany with whom I am working told me that the model is limited (1 of 1,008 pieces) and is sold at the price of 56.95E. It comes in a special box with the vehicle as the background on it. He told me that if we want some of these he will arrange a special price for us.

I posted this info today on the Registry FB page, too. Because I expect that there will be a great deal of interest, especially around the holidays, I would ask that anyone who is interested in one of these cars please email me at 40jahre911@gmail.com as soon as possible so that I can determine how many cars that may be needed and to find out the special price. Once that is determined I will provide the contact information for the shop to all of the interested members so that they can buy directly. I know that balefire will want one!

Ted

Are these diecast models 1:18 or 1:43? The web page states 1:43 which is around 4" long. Was hoping these would be 1:18 like my other diecasts of models I've previously owned.

Cool stuff in here. Does it say anywhere between page 19 and 54 if the thread starter is still able to edit/update the first posts? It seems like the #s were not logged starting pg 15. Is there a book for these cars or should I bang out a coffee table edition?
Anyway, heres a couple currently available. Might also be helpful if these could go on the first page. First car includes the luggage http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=141831703956

and # 1026 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=331689661224
