Have you considered the RoWM030 kit? It's roughly 1K for the entire kit and comes with new shocks and springs as well as new anti-roll bars. It lowers the car and actually makes the ride MORE comfortable.
Personally, I would do all four corners as your other 3 shocks are wearing at a different rate.

The only way to tell is under the front hood on your options sticker (or if the previous owner has documentation something else was installed). The M030 is the sport suspension and is available as RoWM030 and USM030. They are the same except for ride height. It is an OPTIONAL suspension.

You might want to consider the new Koni FSD shocks (frequency sensing dampers) for your car. They have gotten great reviews for the 993's. Concept is double valving so that they are firm during normal driving but soften up for major bumps. You can get a set now for 25% off, only $840 shipped in the states. This is about $300 or less than the Bilsteins. I was committed to trying a set but then found out that they are only made for a C2 and my car is a C4 (slightly different mounts on the front). Koni also make a adjustable shock for C2's.
I am not affiliated with Koni but used them on my other Porsches.
