Climate Control Display Issue

I'd hope it's just a burp of the chip controlling the LCD and a reset of the computer would fix it. But I doubt its fixable except to replace the LCD. Might check and see if there is a plug in for the LCD instead of it being hardwired to the circuit board. If its a plug try taking the connectors off and replugging them in in case its years of corrosion creeping in.
Oh yah electronics corrosion is not always visible. It can be a film that develops slowing being plled between contacts.

OK...figured. Thanks for the quick replies. There seem to be several up on eBay, but they say they're for a Boxster. Would that fit?

There's a DIY over on Renntech for replacement:

Be aware that depending on what you buy and who from, it may not look OEM when it's done.

The guy at 914Rubber.com makes replicas of the original LCD displays. They are perfect, I have one in my car.
