Default Cheap O2 Sensor

Hey guys,

I need a post-cat O2 sensor and came across this at amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-16435-Ox...621184&sr=8-1#

AutohausAZ has it for ~$119 w/ free shipping
RM European has it for ~$145

The Amazon.com one is the cheapest I've found for a Bosch OE part!

The pre-cat sensor is Bosch part #16433
The post-cat sensor is Bosch part #16435

Both $80 at Amazon.com

I apologize if this has been posted before.

OK I've checked Amazon.com for the O2 sensor for our other cars and the sellers @ Amazon.com definitely have lower O2 sensor parts.

I've always thought AutohausAZ and/or RM European had the lowest prices. I guess that's not true anymore!

Just a word of warning, there is a bit of variation between oxygen sensors used on the 996 depending on model and year as well as between pre & post cat. So it may pay for other people reading this thread to ensure they are ordering the correct type. There are also a couple of bosch universal sensor available to replace the various direct fit bosch sensors used on the various 996 models/years.

Yes, I thought I added it in this thread but I guess not. The part numbers I posted are for 3.6L N/A 996 motors (MY02+).

They're different for the 996 Turbo motors (different connectors) and different for the 3.4L 996's.

I believe the Turbo engines use wide band sensors too, at least the sensors after the converters.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Amazon.com won't sell to Canadians except for books - nothing else.
