Default Is this the famous coolant / AOS / RMS / Motor Mount leak?

about a dinner sized puddle under the driver's side rear this morning
See attached pic... fluid feels oily - but not sure what it is.
Also tail pipe has white residue?

Seems to be dripping from the exhaust pipe?

Looks like exactly what happened to me, if I was a betting man I'd bet its coolant and your coolant expansion tank has developed a crack. Is the coolant low in the tank?

No, it's made from genuine imitation goat bladder. They NEVER leak!

been there too!

Why can't a car costing over $95,000.00 (mine did) have a coolant tank that will last 40k miles? Not be such a PITA to replace? and not cost over $300 to replace, just for the part?

The coolant tank on my jeep has lasted over 100k miles and is still perfect and when it goes it will cost $14.68 and I can replace it in about 2 minutes.

I know, I know....just sayin'

Mine leaked, but that was way back when I had the factory warranty, lucky me!

Well, to be fair, dad had a $100K S class sedan that leaked coolant.
I had a EUR 90K (at that time USD 120K) company car that leaked both coolant from the tank, and used cheap clamps on power steering return that resulted in loss of all powersteering.

Just sayin'.

That's because the high end 'european' cars use a cheap, brittle plastic tanks...go figure.

I hear you. My 1987 Wrangler has been the most reliable (and uncomfortable, noisy, etc.) vehicle I've owned. And yeah parts may as well be free compared to our p-cars.
