(ps) sorry to highjack this tread..

I'm sure the owner doesn't care, otherwise they wouldn't have done it, but I do wonder about the panels that didn't get painted.

I know if I were looking at a car and discovered it it had been repainted like that I'd walk away - especially if you're telling me that the entire surface was stripped prior to the repaint, as that would have removed the cathodic corrosion inhibitor and make it prone to rust.

To do a repaint correctly, the car literally needs to be dissembled, and the panels stripped and completely redone. My brother is in the process of having his '71 MB 280SL repainted in this manner - very expensive if done right (somewhere between $20-30K).

Correct. Also almost all the body is composite panels and every body part/panel was removed and painted separately and individually (and there were a lot of body parts). It was interesting to get a good look at the GT minis the body. Most of the frame, interior, etc., is carbon fiber. And you are very right on the pricing.. It was an interesting project to see.

The GT2 @ RPM is one of Seinfeld's cars.

I see the price on it has been lowered by $50,000 !

I always gag when I see RPM pricing. I know some here swear by RPM. I wouldn't bother making a phone call there.

That's the unsellable 996 turbo with green interior.

Yes, That one has been around, the last price I saw was like 46k..must be a scam. With that being said, think it will sell at this "new" price (if not a scam)?

Personally, I like the GT2 at RPM.

Here is boxster that claims to be a paint to sample, but it looks like cobalt blue.
