Never were truer words spoken.

I noticed that if yu're not careful, you'll dent the power steering (I think) hoses when you jack the car up when using the right front jack pad.

I recently learned that if you press the window up/down switch quickly it will go all the way up/down automatically.

Today I learned that if the engine is off, that functionality stops working. They still go up and down normally with the buttons, but the auto functionality is gone.

The jack point has a notch in it so I use something like this and have never even come close to any plumbing. Not sure where you're putting your jack?

Apparently there is a pokey type piece of metal in the center of the seat about mid-spine level height. Was pushing on the leather for some unknown drunk reason fumbling with **** and thought that was kind of odd. You don't really have to push that hard against the leather to feel the steel piece either.

Dumb complaint: Does anyone think that you have to move the steering wheel more than other cars to cancel the blinker? I have noticed, especially getting onto on- or off-ramps that my signal is still blinking after I merge.

So again, dumb complaint that you can't do a thing about, but I just want to confirm I'm not crazy.

Sorry can't confirm your mental status - my 996 (and 997) turn signal canceling works just the same as my other non-Porsche cars.

Default Newbie!

I just read this ENTIRE thread. You see, I have a deposit on a 99 Aero so I need to learn EVERYTHING before picking it up next week!

I learned that my 99 has features I like, ie, cable operated throttle, frunk and lid. Less electronics, less weight, and of course a double row IMS (which has now LN made).

Oh, and a real dipstick!

And I'm growing to love fried eggs. In fact, I'm going to eat that for breakfast every day until the car arrives!

Subscribed. Thank you.

I have thought about it, but I do not think I will ever get rid of my yolks on my old silver 99. Fried eggs for life!

Agreed. hey, I was looking at a `99 C2 that was also silver over black, super low options except for LSD, and had low miles. It's your twin! I "settled" on this slightly more optioned car (64 options including Aero!)
