1. I stored the car over the winter with the battery out and on a tender for 4 months. When I reinstalled the battery, I expected to have to re-enter the radio code into the PCM. Not only did I *not* have to do that, it still had all of my radio stations memorized! But that's not all... Initially the clock was off - pretty sure it read 12:00am initially at first and I spent a couple of minutes with the "computer" trying to see if I could set the time. The next time I started the car the clock was right - was this just a happy coincidence or does this thing have some way to connect to a time-server?!

2. When I first got the car, I learned to creep in and out of driveways, etc. so the bottom of the front spoiler would not scrape. Back then I dutifully kept the front tires at 36psi. This year, after bringing the car out of storage, I left the fronts at 40psi - and not once have I scraped in places where I always used to have to go very slowly. I've noticed no handling degradation at all. Amazing what 4 lbs will do.
Soon after I got my 1999 C2 I caught the front apron as I drove up my mates driveway. I very quickly solved the problem. I leave the car on the street now. Rather that than drive around on over inflated front tires. 36 psi front and 44 rear with 18 inch wheels.

the key does the same to the convertible top as well if yours has one. Careful not to take too much out of the battery showing this feature off to admirers, as I did, and the top stopped when it was halfway up. Battery recharged (no more than 10amp input) and back to normal.

I believe that if you lock the car it takes less out of the battery when unattended for long periods.

Some times you can get a check engine light and want to reset it to see if it comes back. Cats or air sensors could through a code. So yes it does save you a few bucks instead of getting a OBDII reader

Meant unlock, though to lock you need ignition key out.

Hitting the PB still will have the fan/heat going. If you want to completey turn off the unit do you need to hit the fan button until it says off. Also the AC/Fans stay off even after restarting the car.
I selected reverse, set both outside mirrors down to view the back wheels and any close vehicle behind then I held button 3 for a few seconds to set it. Now I use button 3 to reverse and then press button 1 before driving forward again.

The oil filler pipe can be unclipped from the airbox. There's a bellows section in the pipe which then let's you tilt the pipe up a good 6 inches to make adding oil a no-mess breeze.

Used this today when I did my oil change.
Great info as I got oil drips as I changed my oil 2000 miles back. I should have remembered that fact as i had to move that pipe as I changed my air filter around the same time DUH.. Thanks

It's this annoying blinking red light. I know a road that is guaranteed to activate it if you don't mind a few stone chips.

Forget about using one of the extra seat memory buttons to tilt your mirrors for backing up... if you have your car in reverse while programming the mirror positions, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TILT THE MIRRORS THE NEXT TIME YOU PUT IT IN REVERSE (or release the clutch a little bit if you have a manual)!

*note, this has to be set for each key (up to four keys).

I was not trying to diss anyone, if someone took offense, that was not my intention... just trying to put up some useful info.

Also, what is the Ferd mobile?

The Ferd mobile is the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, or some some fluffy bunny farting rainbows, depending on your perspective.
